5% employer match The primary responsibilities of the Takelma Production Specialist is to assist in all facets of the business including the production of the businesses coffee products while ensuring overall product quality.
The mentee will also participate in the businesses sales program including dealing with customers and participating at events.
Daily duties will include assisting with general coffee production including roasting, packaging and delivering coffee products as well as ensuring the highest quality of customer service through the management of retail and wholesale customers.
All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices, and procedures.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Participate in roaster operations and daily production.
Roast and package coffee products.
Ensure product quality through cupping and tastings.
Quality control analysis through conducting test and inspections of product, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
Record inspections or test data, such as weighs, temperatures, grades, or moisture content and quantities inspected or graded.
Discard or reject product materials, or equipment not meeting specifications.
Identify and report on policy changes needed for quality control.
Fulfill and manage customer orders.
Interact with wholesale customers and staff.
Communicate quality guidelines effectively with staff and customers.
Assist with training wholesale customers in proper extraction and brewing techniques.
All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices, and procedures.
Other duties as assigned Requirements AA/AS degree preferred, High School Diploma required.
Must have a strong interest in the coffee industry and a willingness to expand knowledge base.
Must be able to read and understand equipment manuals.
Excellent time management skills.
Basic computer experience in Microsoft Office Programs required.
Ability to multi-task and handle assignments in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Excellent guest service skills.
Must be able to read and comprehend written instructions.
Fundamental math and mechanical skills Able to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Current and valid Oregon Driver's License with the ability to qualify for the UIDC's Drivers Program.
